Albedo Limited (‘Albedo') has a business history dating back to 1987, where it started off as distributor and agent for producers supplying quality products and solutions for the metals industries of ASEAN. Albedo subsequently came to represent world class producers of a wide range of raw materials, consumables and disposable supplies, measuring systems, equipments, engineering spares into the steelmaking plants, steel rolling mills, cast iron and steel foundries. The Group has exclusive distributorships with many leading global brands which are widely known and recognised in the steel industry such as Heraeus Electro-Nite International N.V. and Metallurgica Gmbh & Co., and supplies products of major industry players such as the BHP Billiton Group. These products and solutions provide customers with cost effective and quality manufacturing processes ensuring consistency and reliability in production.

Leveraging on the knowledge, expertise and networks gained initially from our trading and distribution of metal-related products, Albedo has since diversified and integrated ourselves vertically with strategic alliances with our partners, thereby successfully venturing into processing and manufacturing.

Through its subsidiary in Thailand , Albedo operates a foundry specializing in the manufacturing of cast iron and steel rolls. These rolls are sold to more than 150 steel rolling mills located across 34 countries.

Together with its Korean joint venture partner, Albedo has ventured into aluminium recycling and processing through its associated company DS Albedo Sdn Bhd in Malaysia .

Such integration and diversification has given Albedo the ability to ensure greater quality assurance and a continuous, uninterrupted and consistent supply of premium products to our customers.

In order to expand the business and better serve our clients, various entities have been set up forming the Albedo Group of companies, supported by a total of about 400 staff in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
