The Albedo Group has grown in many ways since its humble beginnings and a list of the important milestones we have passed are set out below:

Our Founder together with his partners ventured into business under the banner of Finessco Industries. Among other lines of businesses, Finessco Industries engaged in general wholesale trade, manufacturing and processing, and supply and distribution of industrial and engineering raw materials, instruments, semi-finished and finished products to the Asia Pacific region.

Albedo Corporation (formerly known as Finessco Corporation) was incorporated by the Founder. Albedo Corporation took over and expanded the business of distribution of iron and steel-related materials in Singapore and Malaysia from Finessco Industries.

We secured the exclusive right to distribute manganese alloy of the BHP Billiton Group in Singapore and Malaysia.

Jul 1997
|
We secured an exclusive right to distribute mould casting powder of Metallurgica Gmbh & Co., a pioneer in the field of mould casting powders and one of the major suppliers of mould casting powder.

Sep 1998
|
We secured an exclusive distributorship agreement with Heraeus Electro-Nite International B.V., a leading brand and supplier of disposable thermocouples, thermal gas analysis consumables, accessories and instruments.

Jul 1999
|
We secured an exclusive right to distribute the copper cast parts of Saar Metallwerke GmbH in Singapore , Malaysia and Indonesia.

Jan 2000
|
We secured an exclusive right to distribute Nitrovanadium products of Sojitz Corporation in Singapore , Malaysia , Indonesia and the Philippines .

We secured an exclusive distributorship agreement with DS Co. to distribute forged aluminium granules, briquettes and billets in Singapore and Malaysia.

Mar 2003
|
Our Malaysian subsidiary Albedo Sdn Bhd was set up to provide better customer services to Malaysian clients.

Apr 2003
|
We entered into a joint venture with DS Co., our South Korean principal. Pursuant to the joint venture, DSA, a Malaysian company, was set up. DSA is involved in the recycling of used aluminium beverage cans into forged metal granules, briquettes and billets which are sold to steel mills for deoxidation purposes and to aluminium can sheet smelters as feedstock. The technology employed in this recycling plant was patented in South Korea and is owned by DS Co.

We secured the right to distribute cored wires and wire feeders of Ardee Business Service Pvt. Ltd. in South East Asia.

TTS 2003, which was acquired subsequently to be our Thai subsidiary, was incorporated.

Finessco Corporation changed its name to Albedo Corporation.

TTS 2003 acquired, amongst others, the assets of Thai Tech Steel Co., Ltd., a company primarily engaged in cast iron and steel roll manufacturing. Pursuant to the acquisition, TTS 2003 acquired and retained primarily the (i) plant and equipment, (ii) inventory, (iii) existing customer base and (iv) management and employees of Thai Tech Steel Co., Ltd. As a result, TTS 2003 also inherited the capabilities and technological know-how of Thai Tech Steel Co., Ltd.

Albedo Pte. Ltd. was incorporated to become our holding company.

Albedo Pte Limited was converted to a public company and was renamed Albedo Limited.

Albedo Limited was listed on the SGX SESDAQ. |
We have grown significantly in terms of revenue,
range of products in which we trade and distribute
and geographical coverage since our inception
in 1998. We have a marketing and sales network
comprising three offices in Singapore , Malaysia
and Thailand . Our founder's extensive network
in the industry had enabled Albedo Corporation
to secure several exclusive distributorship and
representative agreements with leading companies
in the industry. Our steel roll products are sold
to various countries, including Thailand, Malaysia,
Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar,
Vietnam, the PRC, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, Iran,
Mauritius, France, the United Kingdom and the
United States of America.
In January 2005, Albedo Corporation was one of
the enterprises named in the Small and Medium
Enterprises 500 list by DP Information Network
Pte Ltd. In the same year, Albedo Corporation
was also rated by DP Information Network Pte Ltd
as being amongst the top 100 Small Medium Enterprises
companies or SME companies in relation to profit
margin and return on shareholders' fund in Singapore.
On 22 November 2005, Albedo Corporation was named
in the top half of the Enterprise 50 List and
awarded the Enterprise 50 Award organised by Accenture
and The Business Times and supported by the Economic
Development Board and IE Singapore. The Enterprise
50 Award seeks to recognise the top 50 most enterprising
private companies in Singapore.
On 18 January 2006, Albedo Corporation was one
of the enterprises ranked in the 19th Annual Small
and Medium Enterprises 500 list by DP Information
Network Pte Ltd. Albedo Corporation was placed
65th and 160th in the net profit and sales/ turnover
categories respectively.
